Jill Arndt, LMHCA

As a therapist, I seek to hold space for my clients as they get to know themselves and their relationships better, allowing them to feel seen and supported. Areas of interest in my work as a therapist include:

  • Relationship issues

  • Family dynamics

  • Existential issues

  • Trauma

  • Issues pertaining to religion/spirituality

  • Systemic/multicultural issues

  • Personality disorders

  • Mood disorders

  • ADHD

  • Grief/loss

  • Career concerns

  • Group therapy

I believe that building healthy relationships is the most important thing we can do to build meaningful lives. Those relationships can be with others - and they can be the relationships we have with ourselves. I approach my work with an eye toward multiculturalism, and I understand that therapy is a fairly Western concept. With that awareness, I always strive to expand my knowledge of how my sessions can be a more inclusive and understanding space for people of all cultural backgrounds. While my approach to therapy tends to be very in-the-moment (interpretation: no homework), I am happy to accommodate client requests for supplemental out-of-session reading/homework/mindfulness tools as appropriate.

Outside of the office, I find meaning in life through my personal relationships, outdoor recreation, creating art, and maintaining balance. In my free time, you will find me out in nature, scavenging for a delicious bowl of pho, or sharing a laugh with friends.
