About me : Jill Arndt, LMHCA
You remember a time when low mood and frequent conflict weren’t the “norm” but now those days feel like a distant memory. Don’t you wish you had the tools to change that?
You’ve come to the right place.
I’m Jill, and I help couples and individuals just like you: ones that have it within them to connect and break free from unpleasant cycles but just need the right support to get there.
I help my clients build stronger relationships, find greater relational safety, and increased inner peace by by providing them with the space that they need to practice deeper emotional connection with self and others.
Many of today’s solutions for mood and relationship challenges are top-down, Western, intellectual approaches. This leads so many to feel stuck in the knowledge of why they are struggling but unable to execute actual change in their lives. I know that your circumstances are unique, so I will be present with you as we explore your inner emotional world to bring about personal and relational healing from a culturally aware lens.
First, we take a non-judgmental overview of the patterns within your relationship and yourself that are causing pain and stuckness. Then, you will have the opportunity to practice new ways of relating with yourself and others that will lead to greater clarity and connection. Through our work together, you’ll find greater safety, intimacy, and stability within yourself and your relationships.
I am dedicated to helping people find relief from their pain and discouragement.
My training in Emotionally Focused Therapy means I have the expertise you need and deserve when working to heal your relationship and get to know yourself better. But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who “gets” what it means to wonder if you and your partner even have compatible enough communication styles to avoid a painful break-up. You want to know you're working with someone who "gets" what it means to be stuck in your head or stuck in an unpleasant emotion, right?
I get it because I know what it's like to struggle in relationships, to feel lonely, ill-equipped, at the end of your rope, and afraid that you'll never break free from these patterns that haunt you. Your current challenges are so human - and I have dedicated my career to working with the emotions and attachment systems that make us human. So when we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist. You’ll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through.
