Lunch and Learn is a bi-weekly professional education topic and discussion over lunch with peers from the community. We welcome therapists, especially from the Seattle community,  to join and contribute to the conversation.

Each meeting, we explore a topic, potentially viewing a training video together and discuss our takeaways and questions.  Our current series of topics will focus on various EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) interventions.

In addition to offering learning opportunities, one of Mettarel's goals is to contribute and help build a community among therapists in Seattle and beyond.

12:00pm : The video link is live. Join us to connect.

12:15-ish : We begin our topic

1:15pm - 1:30pm: Debrief  and wrap-up for those who can stay.

What is a Lunch and Learn?

An opportunity to network and build community with other therapists while growing and sharing your professional knowledge and skill.  Since these meetings take place during lunch time it is also an opportunity to eat a healthy lunch together.

Is lunch included?

Since we are now exclusively online, please provide your won lunch if you're choosing to eat during this time.

What is the format?

The afternoon begins by sharing a meal together and saying hello.  Around 12.15pm we'll start the presentation, often video, on the chosen "topic" followed by a discussion. This is a great opportunity to learn something new or deepen your knowledge on a particular subject and from one another.  We'll wrap up by 1.30pm but understand that some may need to leave earlier.

Do I have to attend the full 90 minutes?

No, join us when you can.  However, for safety and group support purposes the following guidelines are helpful:

1. If possible, come at noon if it is your first meeting so we can meet you.

2. If you enter or leave during the video or discussion, please use the chatbox to say hello and goodbye as your presence and absence matters.

Is this only for EFT therapists?

No, any therapist who is interested in learning and sharing is welcome to attend.
