Enhancing your Sexual Relationship
Optimal Sexual Experiences Therapy Group
Starts January 14th : 8 Tuesdays 7pm - 9pm
Would you and your partner like to improve your sex life?
Couples with low/no sexual desire or frequency, and/or desire discrepancy (in which one partner is more interested in sex than the other) who are interested in enhancing their sexual relationship and ready to embark on a journey to enhance their sexual experiences and relationships. The process will involve group therapy over 16 hours. Limit of 4 to 6 couples/group.
The content of the group is based on the work of the Optimal Sexual Experiences Research Team of the University of Ottawa, including elements and facilitating factors of optimal sexual experiences as well as research on group couples therapy. The groups are part of a research project studying the effectiveness of group therapy in enhancing sexual relationships. Your participation in the research project (which is optional) consists of completing questionnaires at multiple time points.
16 hours over a period of 8 weeks. Initial assessment will help you to determine whether these groups are right for you.
Attendance in this group requires a commitment to homeplay with your partner. You are free to withdraw from the research and/or the groups at any time.

Mindy McGovern, MA, LMFTA
Mindy Mcgovern (MA, LMFTA) is a couple, family, and individual therapist who provides counseling services at Mettarel Associates in Seattle, Washington. She has trained extensively in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Therapy and Sex Therapy and is currently in the process of certifying as a sex therapist with the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists. She has completed training at the University of Ottawa, Canada with Peggy Kleinplatz in treating couples struggling with low/no sexual desire and/or desire discrepancy where one partner is more interested in sex than the other.
Justin Pere, LMFT, CGT
Justin Pere (LMFT, CGT) is a licensed psychotherapist for couples and individuals who provides therapy at a group practice he founded in 2010, Clarity Counseling Seattle, in Seattle, Washington. Justin is a Certified Gottman Therapist (CGT) through the Gottman Institute. He currently sits on the Board of The Northwest Institute on Intimacy (NWIOI), and he is a past board member of the Seattle Counselors Association. Justin is currently in the process of certifying as a sex therapist with the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists, and has completed training at the University of Ottawa, Canada with Peggy Kleinplatz in treating couples with low/no sexual desire and/or desire discrepancy where one partner is more interested in sex than the other.
