WHO

This group is oriented towards cisgender women.  The group is open to women of all sexual orientations.  it is open to women who are single or in relationship(s).

 

WHAT

This group is a small group for women who want to explore experiencing increased desire in their intimate sexual relationships. You do not have to be in a relationship to participate in the group. The group is based on the pioneering work of Lori Brotto teaching women how to use mindfulness to cultivate desire. The format will be a combination of group interaction, information sharing, experiential exercises and home exercises. 

WHEN

16 hours over a period of 8 weeks.

Mindy McGovern, MA, LMFT, CST

Mindy McGovern (MA, LMFT, CST) is a couple, family, and individual therapist who provides counseling services at Mettarel Associates in Seattle, Washington.  She has trained extensively in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Therapy.  She is a Certified Sex Therapist (CST) through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors. She has completed training at the University of Ottawa, Canada with Peggy Kleinplatz in treating couples struggling with low/no sexual desire and/or desire discrepancy where one partner is more interested in sex than the other.
