Lunch and Learn is a monthly professional educational presentation and discussion over lunch with peers from the community. We welcome all therapists in the Seattle area to join and contribute to the conversation.
Each month, we will discuss a different topic. Our first series of topics will focus on various EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) interventions.
In addition to offering learning opportunities, one of Mettarel's goals is to contribute and help build a community among therapists in Seattle.
FORMAT:
12:00pm : Your (optional) pre-ordered boxed lunch is ready and lunch is served! Or bring your own lunch and join us
12:30pm : We begin our "topic" which includes a presentation, some videos, and discussion
1:30pm : We have a case consult discussion (for those who can stay) ideally around the topic, but open to all cases or discussions
What is a Lunch and Learn?
An opportunity to network and build community with other therapists while growing and sharing your professional knowledge and skill. Since these meetings take place during lunch time it is also an opportunity to eat a healthy lunch together.
Is lunch included?
For your convenience, you may pre-order your lunch with us and it will be ready for when you arrive. If you order lunch through us, your $5 registration fee will be applied towards your lunch purchase. Of course, you are always welcome to bring your own, or join us after you have eaten.
What is the format?
The afternoon begins by sharing a meal together. Feel free to bring your own or order with us. After lunch, there will be a presentation, including video, on the chosen "topic" followed by a discussion. This is a great opportunity to learn something new or deepen your knowledge on a particular subject and from one another. At 1:30, we will transition into the case discussion or general discussion for those who are interested and able to stay.
Do I have to attend the full two hours?
No, it is specifically divided it into three sections so that those with time constraints can attend one or two of the three sections.
Is this only for EFT therapists?
No, any therapist who is interested in learning and sharing is welcome to attend.
